Overview

FUSKA HOUSE ST Marys, located conveniently at 112 Station St, St Marys NSW, brings a vibrant taste of Bangladeshi street food culture to Sydney’s western suburbs. This restaurant specializes in delivering authentic flavors that strongly resonate with fans of Bangladeshi and Deshi Chinese cuisine, making it a unique spot for both nostalgic locals and curious food enthusiasts.

The centerpiece of their menu is undoubtedly the fuchka—crispy hollow shells filled with tangy and spicy mixtures that many customers have praised for their authentic flavor, reminiscent of traditional Bangladeshi snacks. Alongside this, the Chicken Momos Dumplings offer a succulent, well-seasoned bite that complements the Mughlai Parantha, a flaky, savory bread with a rich and crispy texture that truly stands out. These dishes capture the essence of Bangladeshi culinary heritage, blending street food comfort with a home-cooked feel.

While the food delivers on freshness and taste, the dining space reflects a practical, no-frills approach. Housed in an older takeaway-style venue, the interior leaves room for a more immersive cultural ambiance. Some diners have hoped for an infusion of traditional Bangladeshi decor to enhance their sensory experience, which could further elevate the atmosphere alongside the cuisine.

FUSKA HOUSE’s audience spans a broad spectrum, from families seeking familiar flavors to commuters drawn by its proximity to St Marys station. The staff’s attentive, friendly service consistently receives positive remarks, contributing to a welcoming environment where diverse patrons—whether bringing elders or children—feel comfortable. The menu’s flexibility, including accommodating dietary requests such as keto options, speaks to their inclusive approach.

Other highlights within the menu include fresh, well-balanced traditional teas and comforting appetizers like Chotpoti and Deshi Chinese dishes crafted with homemade taste profiles. Some minor areas for refinement noted by patrons involve textural elements and sauce enhancements, but overall, the quality of ingredients and authenticity remain strong pillars of the offering.

In summary, FUSKA HOUSE ST Marys stands as a notable destination for anyone looking to explore authentic Bangladeshi flavors in a casual setting. It successfully bridges the gap between nostalgic home-style cooking and accessible street food, catering especially to the Bangladeshi diaspora and adventurous eaters in Sydney’s western region. With a bit more focus on space aesthetics and marketing reach, it holds great potential to become a cherished local gem.

The food was truly amazing. The fuchka and Thai soup were so authentic, they reminded us of Bangladesh. We used to miss Bangladeshi-Chinese food in Sydney, but we’ve finally found a place with great quality. I just wish the interior had a bit more of a Bangladeshi touch to enhance the experience.

When we found out the ‘Fuchka house’ franchise had opened a store in St Mary’s we were initially surprised (I know! It’s been open for 6 months already!) and excited. We headed over for some delicious Bangladeshi nashta (snack foods). Fuchka was good! Made to order. Spicy. The casings were a little soft by the time we got it but I think it was just a one off. The other plate was great. Definitely didn’t stinge on the toppings. The chicken dumplings were delicious. Sauce can be improved however. Mughlai was crispy +++ and good Chotpoti was enjoyed greatly by dad! Would go again. Would recommend they market it - there’s a big population that would come by! The restaurant itself is in an old ‘takeaway’ style space, so not much to look at. But food was good. And the service was great - attentive and friendly! Thumbs up from us

Very conveniently located close to St Marys station. Service was good. Food was decent. Coffee wasn't the best, but still did the job. They were also kind enough to make a keto meal for me at a reasonable price.

We took an eighty years old mother & an eight years daughter to the Fuchka house last night. We all enjoyed equally. Their food was delicious & service was very excellent. Fuchka & fried chicken were the best items for us. Fried rice was little plain but overall good. Deshi Chinese items got Bangladeshi flavours, n homemade taste. You can tell the foods are fresh. Wish them all the best & definitely shall revisit.

Good fuchka, needs to work a bit on chotpoti. Good quantity. Fresh tea, lacks a bit of creamy texture. Overall good Bangladeshi restaurant.
